... on koeratõug, kelle algne nimi raamatutes oli Canis Familiaris Terrae Novae ehk maakeeli "koer Newfoundlandist". Tänapäeval assotsieerub inimestele newfoundlandi koerana suur must või pruun karulaadne koer ja LANDSEERI loetakse mandri-Euroopas eraldi tõuks. ... is a dog breed, what was in old books named: Canis Familiaris Terrae Novae what means "dog from Newfoundland". Nowadays, most people imagine big black or brown bearlike dogs when they think about Newfoundland dog. LANDSEER is separate breed (official: Landseer European Continental Type).
